DetectGPT is operated by CoreAI LLC (“we”, “the service”). DetectGPT is a free AI writing checker at detectgpt.io. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

The service

You may paste text or a public URL and receive an estimated AI writing score. The score is a style signal. It is not proof of authorship, cheating, originality, or plagiarism. It will not match another vendor’s number, including Turnitin®.

Your content

You must have the right to paste what you paste. Do not upload secrets, passwords, or other people’s unpublished work without permission. You keep ownership of your drafts. We do not claim a license to publish them.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the URL fetcher, scan private or internal hosts, attempt to break the service, or use DetectGPT to harass someone. We may block traffic that looks automated or harmful.

Turnitin® is a registered trademark of Turnitin, LLC. DetectGPT is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Turnitin, LLC, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google, or ZeroGPT.

Disclaimer

The service is provided as is, with no warranty. We are not liable for grades, jobs, contracts, or disciplinary outcomes that follow from a score, a miss, or downtime. Use your own judgment and your institution’s policy.

Changes

We may change the product or these terms. The date at the top is the current version. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the new terms.
